CBE announces 5-day bank holiday for Eid El-Fitr

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to halt business in all operating banks across the state for five days, as of Thursday, March 19 th, in celebration of Eid El-Fitr, according to an official statement.

Therefore, banks will resume operations on Tuesday, March 24 th.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly recently declared a five-year holiday for public sector employees.

Employees in the private sector were also granted the same holiday.
