FABMISR registers EGP 7.9B net profit in H1 2026

First Abu Dhabi Bank Misr (FABMISR) posted a net profit of EGP 7.9 billion in the first half (H1) of 2026, according to the bank’s financial results.

Net interest income stood at EGP 14.2 billion during the six-month period, maintaining its level compared with H1 2025. Net fees and commission income rose 25% year on year (YoY) to EGP 1.7 billion.

The bank’s total assets reached EGP 420 billion at the end of June 2026, while customer deposits amounted to EGP 298.5 billion. Shareholders’ equity totaled EGP 69.6 billion.

Net loans and advances to customers, including financing extended to Egypt’s private sector, increased 26% from a year earlier to EGP 158.5 billion.

Retail customer deposits grew 20% from December 2025 to EGP 89.8 billion, while retail loans climbed 12% to EGP 29.4 billion over the same period.

Ahmed Issa, CEO and managing director of FABMISR, said: “The first half of 2026 demonstrates FABMISR’s continued focus on strengthening the foundations of our business and creating sustainable value for our customers. Our diversified banking proposition, combined with our focus on operational efficiency and deeper customer engagement, continues to support the bank’s performance across key business segments.”

Outlining the bank’s priorities for the coming period, he added: “As we move forward, we will remain focused on expanding our capabilities, enhancing diversification, reducing concentration risks, accelerating digital adoption, and delivering solutions that respond to the evolving needs of our customers. At the same time, we will continue to play an active role in supporting Egypt’s economic development by financing strategic sectors and contributing to greater financial inclusion.”
