Emirates NBD Egypt rolls out cross-border banking services for international clients

Emirates NBD Egypt has enhanced its premium proposition to introduce cross-border banking services targeting internationally oriented clients and non-resident Egyptians (NREs), according to an emailed press release.
The upgraded offering leverages the group’s presence across 13 countries to provide customers with cross-border banking access linking Egypt with key markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Singapore, and the UK.
Emirates NBD Egypt is offering multi-currency foreign-currency (FCY) debit cards with overseas spending allowances of up to $80,000 per month, or the equivalent in other currencies.
Premium credit cards are available with limits of up to EGP 5 million and include tokenized Apple Pay functionality for international transactions.
The lender also expanded its digital banking capabilities, enabling customers to execute local transfers of up to EGP 10 million in real time through its 24/7 digital banking platform.
On the investment side, the bank is offering customers access to a range of investment vehicles, including money market funds, a USD fixed-income fund, and a gold fund, providing options for portfolio diversification and capital growth.
Moreover, it rolls out fixed certificates of deposit with returns of up to 17.5%, variable CDs of up to 19%, daily current accounts yielding up to 18%, and high-yield savings accounts offering returns of up to 18.25%.
Emirates NBD Egypt recently signed definitive agreements to acquire the retail banking operations of HSBC Bank Egypt, expanding its presence in one of the group's core regional markets.
