EGX Listing Committee approves EGP 144m capital increase for Giza Contracting

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Listing Committee approved Giza General Contracting Company ’s plan to raise its issued and paid-up capital by EGP 144.27 million to EGP 432.81 million from EGP 288.54 million.
The capital increase process will be funded from 2024’s profits and retained earnings, according to a bourse statement.
Meanwhile, the hike will be implemented through the issuance of 721.36 million shares at a nominal value of EGP 0.20 per share.
It is worth noting that the bonus shares will be distributed to shareholders at a ratio of 0.50 bonus share for every existing share.
In March 2026, Giza Contracting’s stock entered a secondary downtrend, closing below the key support level of EGP 0.51.
