A portfolio is the complete collection of financial assets held by an investor, such as stocks, bonds, fund units, and cash. Its composition — the weights assigned to each asset class and security — determines the portfolio’s overall risk and return profile. In Egypt, investors’ securities are recorded centrally with Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR).
