The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has granted approvals to four companies for practicing non-banking financial activities, as per a statement.
The approvals include a provisional license for healthcare services provider Al Ahly Medical Company (AMC) to operate as a third-party administrator (TPA) of healthcare programs.
This license brings the number of companies provisionally licensed to manage healthcare programs as TPAs to nine. One company has also received a provisional license to conduct health maintenance organization (HMO) specialized medical insurance activities, while several others are still working to meet the regulatory requirements.
In financial dues collection, the FRA registered the Egyptian Company for Services and Collection in its register of companies authorized to collect dues on behalf of institutions engaged in non-banking financial activities. The company is the third to join the register. The FRA is currently reviewing applications from more than 30 other companies.
The regulator also authorized Prime Securities Brokerage to trade government securities and financial instruments on the secondary market.
Separately, Egypt-based brokerage company Arabeya Online Brokerage (AOLb) was approved to trade global depositary receipts (GDRs) backed by securities listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX). The company’s registered Arabic name was expanded in January 2026 to include brokerage in securities and bonds, according to the EGX.
The approvals form part of the FRA’s mandate to regulate and supervise Egypt’s non-banking financial markets and instruments. Its oversight extends to capital markets, futures exchanges, insurance, real estate finance, financial leasing, factoring, and securitization, as well as the establishment and licensing of companies operating in these sectors.
