Banque du Caire’s net profit rises 15% in H1 2026

Banque du Caire posted a net profit after tax of EGP 8.6 billion in the first half (H1) of 2026, up 15% from EGP 7.5 billion in the same period of 2025, as per emailed financial results.
Net interest income increased by 11% year on year (YoY) to EGP 18.3 billion from EGP 16.5 billion, while operating revenues rose by 9% to EGP 22.1 billion from EGP 20.3 billion.
Meanwhile, administrative expenses increased by EGP 1.1 billion, or 17%, compared with H1 2025.
The bank’s total assets grew by 4% to EGP 552 billion at the end of June 2026, compared with EGP 533 billion at the end of 2025.
Its total loan portfolio reached EGP 280.3 billion, marking a 9% increase since the beginning of 2026, supported by growth across various business sectors.
Customer deposits rose by EGP 39 billion, or 10%, to EGP 440.4 billion at the end of H1 2026, compared with EGP 401.4 billion at the end of 2025.
Individual customer deposits represented 60% of the total, while corporate and institutional deposits accounted for the remaining 40%.
